This technique is often used in the painting of murals and as small decorative 'jokes' on walls and furniture, but this style can be fabulous in a painting as you will see here.

There is no reason why you can't have fun with this and in this course I'll show you how. Here we will paint these dried chili peppers. We will also paint an old key hanging on a wall and a butterfly.
This is also a great course for those of you who like details, using a small brush and creating 'fine' art. What fun.

" I love that she's informative, but moves things along. She knows the minimum to say at the time, and that is helpful... keeps it interesting and moving.''

Susie McLaughlin
"Great course. I have taken several of Nicola's courses. She is a fantastic instructor. She goes the extra mile to make sure students understand. It is as if she is in the room with me. She is my go-to for my continuing watercolor instruction. ''

Jo Ann Williams
"Have done a lot of art projects when I was younger, but as life progressed it fell by the way side. I've decided to take it up again and found that a lot of the skill in working with any medium has been lost or become so rusty. Also, the 21st century rush and quick fix, quick result 'madness' has put me in a rushed mood, which is not a good place to be when working with any medium... perfection comes in stages and not immediately.''

Why choose one of my courses?

Because, as a self-taught artist and neurolinguistic coach I understand how a lot of people feel about their creative work, sometimes anxious, sometimes overwhelmed, and often that it's not 'good enough'.

Well, I will hold your hand as you overcome these fears as I offer a friendly, relaxed and sensitive teaching style. Gently weaving in some messages to help you change your internal dialogue and become more self-aware

Do one of my courses and you will feel as if I am in the room with you every step of the way and for a long time after that.

By the way, I sell as well, so what better recommendation could you have about learning from me?

A bit more about me.

I originally trained as a graphic artist and then followed a different career path working in the media, travel and public relations.

After time working in these areas spent in both London and Paris, I moved into interior design, specialist painting effects and creating murals for clients in both the UK and overseas.

Now living in the south of France I continue with all of that but now also teach people how to paint in watercolours on painting holidays. teaching via the internet, film making and helping people with their marketing and promotional activities.
